The answer is yes. Most modern laser printers can be used with CounterPro and AccuPro if they are network-ready Post Script or Printer Command Language (PCL) compliant. Your SCO Open Server system needs to be part of your Local Area Network (LAN) so the printer can be addressed with a TCP/IP address. In addition, you�ll need laser forms for the printer that conform with the laser formats we have available for contracts, AR statements, and checks.
SBC sells laser printers that have been fully tested and certified to work seamlessly; these are fully supported. If you�d like to implement a laser printer, the easiest thing to do is to call SBC Support so we can make sure you have the proper environment to make the printer work. Once you know your system is compatible, Support can send you some templates for the forms you will be using, so you end up with properly printed contracts, statements, and checks.
